IYER

My main experience is in UI/UX design, and in the past, I have specialized in accessible and intuitive digital experiences. I initially started at MedRhythms, a digital therapeutics company that focuses on music and walking therapy for people with neurological disabilities. There, I learned how to create my own project, and I helped design a customization flow for the therapy app while also learning how to ideate under stringent accessibility rules.
Since then, I’ve branched out to try many different things. Here are some cool experiences that I’ve had as a designer and a creative:
1) I love cats, and as a personal project, I created an app concept and prototype meant to help people bond with their cats and uncover the mysteries around their behavior.
2) I’ve interned at NBCU and worked on a variety of different projects, from enhancing their elections-related data visualizations to creating a word game for TODAY.
3) I’ve designed and led an augmented reality workshop, focusing on lowering the barrier of entry to the extended reality world.
4) I’ve directed the process of creating a brand and web identity for a startup birth control company.
5) I’m currently volunteering as an art assistant, helping artists of varying abilities create unique art and teach art classes.
6) I’m also currently taking a drawing course called Draw A Box, and I’m learning how to more effectively give detailed and constructive critique.
I have actually tried many more things through volunteering and through my college courses as well! The main point is that I love learning, and I am always open to trying something new!
